The National Collection of the Library was re-opened on 07 th March 2005, which holds all the materials published about Maldives and published by Maldivians, which includes books, periodicals, articles, music, maps, charts, posters, audio visual materials, government publications..etc. Currently the collection holds 1600 materials in various formats.

The main objective is to collect, develop and to preserve the nations cultural heritage and provide research services to all the users
