The American Corner was opened on 12 th July 2004.The main purpose being a source to American literature.

Resources Available

Books
There are a total of 261 reference books in the American Corner, ranging from; generalities, encyclopedias, language books etc.
A total of 139 books are available for borrowing. Mostly these books consist of famous novels.

Periodicals
Magazines and newspapers are also available in the American Corner. 34 genres of magazines are available, such as Sports Illustrated, PC Magazine, Art in America etc.

(These are updated at least twice monthly).

Services
A number of services are available in the American Corner. Such as;

1- Photocopying
2- Scanning
3- Free internet service for members
4- And a collection of audio visuals are available to the viewing of members. Types ranging from DVD’s, VCD’s and Video Cassettes.

Events
An introduction to the American colleges and the educational opportunities available are held from time to time.
